Ingredients
– 1 can of crescent roll dough
– 2/3 cup butterscotch chips
– 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 egg
– 1 tablespoon milk
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– A pinch of salt
– 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Use a rolling pin to flatten it slightly and pinch the seams together.
3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Add in the butterscotch chips and stir well.
4. Cut the dough into triangles. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle, then roll it up towards the tip.
5. Whisk the egg and milk together in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the rolled pastries and sprinkle cinnamon and nuts if using. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
