Ingredients
– 1 cup sprouted green moong dal
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 green chilies, slit
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1/2 cup grated coconut
– 1 cup water
– Salt to taste
Method
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Wait for them to pop.
3. Stir in chopped onion and green chilies. Cook until the onion softens.
4. Mix in turmeric powder and sprouted moong dal. Pour water into the mixture.
5. Add salt and cook for about 15 minutes until the dal is tender. Stir in grated coconut before serving.
