Ingredients

– 1 medium green cabbage
– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
– 1 tablespoon butter
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 lemon, juiced
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the core.
3. In a large oven-safe pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cabbage, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Pour the broth into the pan and add the butter and garlic. Cover the pan with foil.
5. Bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 20 minutes. Finish with lemon juice, sugar, and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
