Ingredients
– 450 g chuck steak, cut into small pieces
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 3 carrots, sliced
– 2 celery sticks, chopped
– 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
– 1 litre beef broth
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, then cook until the onion becomes translucent.
3. Stir in the chuck steak pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
4. Mix in the carrots, celery, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 1 hour.
5. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
