Ingredients
– 2 cups of pasta
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 1 clove of garlic, minced
– 1 small onion, diced
– 1 can (400 ml) of diced tomatoes
– 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
– 1 cup of grated cheese
– 1/4 cup of fresh basil, chopped
Method
1. Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions until it is al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, cooking until the onion becomes soft.
3. Pour in the diced tomatoes, along with oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the pan, mixing well with the sauce. Allow everything to heat through for another 2 minutes.
5. Remove from the heat and sprinkle cheese and fresh basil on top before serving.
