Ingredients
– 500 g ground beef
– 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
– 1 can (400 g) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
– 1 cup diced onion
– 1 cup diced bell pepper
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– ½ teaspoon salt
– ½ teaspoon black pepper
Method
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
2. Stir in the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve hot. Enjoy your chili with bread, tortillas, or your favorite toppings.
