Doli Ki Roti Recipe: Traditional Indian Flatbread Made Easy

Ingredients

– 2 cups of whole wheat flour
– 1/2 cup of warm water
– 1/4 teaspoon of salt
– 2 tablespoons of ghee or oil
– 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
– 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves
– 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida (hing)
– Extra flour for dusting

Method

1. Combine whole wheat flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
2. Gradually add warm water while kneading until the mixture is smooth.
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball.
5. Flatten each ball into a thin disc, and cook on a hot pan for a few minutes on each side until golden.
