– 500 g fresh broccoli
– 1 L water
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 clove garlic, minced

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Red pepper flakes (optional)
– Fresh parsley (optional)

Method

1. Begin by filling a large pot with 1 L of water. Add salt and bring it to a boil over high heat.
2. While waiting for the water to boil, wash the broccoli and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
3. Once the water is boiling, add the broccoli to the pot. Cook for about 3 minutes until it becomes bright green and tender.
4. Drain the broccoli using a colander and return it to the pot. Stir in olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Optionally, add grated parmesan, red pepper flakes, and fresh parsley before serving.
