Ingredients
– 300 g yam (peeled and chopped)
– 1 cup tapioca flour
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 100 g dried prawns (soaked and chopped)
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil
– 2 cloves garlic (minced)
– 2 spring onions (chopped)
– 2 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1/4 tsp white pepper
Method
1. Steam the chopped yam until soft, typically around 15 minutes.
2. Mash the steamed yam in a bowl and mix in the salt, water, and tapioca flour to form a dough.
3. Roll the dough into small balls and then shape each one into a flat disc resembling a seed.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, adding garlic and chopped prawns to sauté until fragrant.
5. Stir in the spring onions, oyster sauce, and white pepper before adding the yam discs to the pan. Coat them evenly and cook for a few minutes until hot.
