Delicious Vegan Irish Soda Bread Recipe For Every Occasion

Ingredients

– 450 g plain flour
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp salt
– 400 ml plant-based milk
– 2 tbsp vinegar
– 2 tbsp oil
– 3 tbsp sugar
– Optional: 100 g raisins or currants

Method

1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir these dry ingredients together.
3. In another bowl, mix the plant-based milk and vinegar. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
4. Add the liquid mixture and oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is just combined. If using raisins or currants, fold them in now.
5. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the baking tray. Cut a deep cross shape on top with a knife. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
