Ingredients
– 1 cup pitted dates
– 1 cup nuts (walnuts or almonds)
– 1 cup rolled oats
– 1/4 cup cocoa powder
– 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
– 1/4 cup almond milk
– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
– A pinch of salt
– Dark chocolate for topping
Method
1. Blend the dates and nuts in a food processor until finely chopped.
2. Add oats, cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the mix. Blend until everything is well combined and forms a sticky dough.
3. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan.
4. Melt dark chocolate and pour it over the pressed mixture. Spread it evenly with a spatula.
5. Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 2 hours before cutting it into squares.
