Delicious Masaledaar Kathal Recipe: Spicy Raw Jackfruit In Gravy

Ingredients

– 500 g raw jackfruit, cut into chunks
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1 tomato, chopped
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 cup coconut milk
– Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
2. Stir in chopped onion and cook until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
3. Mix in chopped tomato, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook until the tomato softens.
4. Add jackfruit chunks and stir well to coat them with the spices. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
5. Season with salt and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes until the jackfruit is tender and the sauce thickens.
