Delicious Kacche Aam Aur Lehsun Ki Dal: Mango Garlic Lentils Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 cup split red lentils
– 1 large raw mango, diced
– 4 cloves garlic, chopped
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 1 tsp turmeric powder
– 1 tsp red chili powder
– Salt to taste
– 3 cups water

Method

1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
2. Put the chopped onion and garlic into the pot. Sauté until the onion turns golden brown.
3. Stir in turmeric and red chili powder, cooking for an additional minute.
4. Add the split lentils and diced mango to the pot, mixing everything well.
5. Pour in the water and add salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until lentils are soft, around 20 minutes.
