Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup dried chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sichuan peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Method

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat until it is hot.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir for about 1-2 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  3. Mix in the dried chili flakes, Sichuan peppercorns, salt, and sugar. Stir continuously for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  5. Finally, add sesame seeds, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Stir well and transfer to a jar.
