Ingredients
– 1 kg beef chuck roast
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp black pepper
– 1 tbsp cumin
– 1 tbsp oregano
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 onion, chopped
– 120 ml beef broth or water
– 60 ml lime juice
– 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Method
1. Cut the beef into large pieces and season with salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano.
2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Sear the beef until browned on all sides.
3. Remove the beef from the pan and place it in a slow cooker. Add garlic, onion, broth, lime juice, and vinegar.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the meat is tender.
5. Shred the beef using two forks and mix it with the cooking juices.
