Ingredients
– 500 g arbi (taro root)
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 1 tsp mustard seeds
– 1 tsp turmeric powder
– 2 tsp red chili powder
– 1 tsp coriander powder
– Salt to taste
– 2 green chilies, chopped
– Fresh cilantro for garnish
Method
1. Wash and peel the arbi. Cut it into bite-sized pieces.
2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
3. Once they start to splutter, add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Stir for a minute.
4. Mix in the chopped arbi and green chilies. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the arbi is soft.
5. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
