Ingredients

– 1 kg ham (bone-in)
– 1 cup honey
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1 tsp ground ginger
– 1/2 cup apple juice
– 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 tsp salt

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with foil to make cleanup easy.
2. In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, apple juice, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt.
3. Score the top of the ham in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife. This helps the glaze stick better.
4. Place the ham in the tray and brush half of the glaze all over the surface.
5. Cook the ham for about 1 hour, basting every 20 minutes with the remaining glaze until it gets caramelized and heated through.
