Ingredients
– ½ cup softened butter
– â…“ cup sugar
– ½ cup brown sugar, packed
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup plain flour
– â…“ cup cocoa powder
– ½ teaspoon baking powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 20 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
– ½ cup crushed candy canes
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix until light and fluffy.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract. Add the plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
4. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on the baking tray. Press each cookie down slightly.
5. Bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss on top of each cookie. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the cookies while they cool.
