Ingredients
– 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
– 2 teaspoons dried seaweed, shredded
– 1 tablespoon lemon zest
– 1 tablespoon orange zest
– 1 tablespoon lime zest
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1 teaspoon chili flakes
Method
1. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes. Stir frequently until they are fragrant and lightly golden.
2. Once toasted, remove seeds from heat and let them cool.
3. In a bowl, mix the cooled sesame seeds with dried seaweed, lemon zest, orange zest, lime zest, sugar, and salt.
4. Add garlic powder, ground ginger, and chili flakes to the mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
5. Store the furikake in an airtight container for up to a month. Use it to sprinkle over rice, vegetables, or any dish you like.
