Ingredients

– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 cup jaggery, grated
– 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
– A pinch of salt
– 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, or your choice)
– 1/4 cup raisins
– 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
– 1/4 cup desiccated coconut (optional)

Method

1. Begin by heating the ghee in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add the whole wheat flour and roast until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This may take about 5-7 minutes.
3. Mix in the grated jaggery and water. Stir continuously until the jaggery melts completely and combines with the flour.
4. Incorporate cardamom powder, salt, chopped nuts, raisins, sesame seeds, and coconut if using. Mix everything well.
5. Once the mixture cools enough to handle, shape it into small rounds or laddoos with your hands.
