Ingredients
– 1 cup vegetable oil
– 2 cups dried chili flakes
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
– 1/2 cup sliced scallions
– 1/4 cup toasted peanuts, chopped
– 1/2 cup soy sauce
Method
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook until it starts to turn golden brown.
3. Stir in the chili flakes, sesame seeds, sugar, salt, and five-spice powder. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
4. Remove the pan from heat and mix in the sliced scallions and peanuts. Let it cool completely.
5. Once cooled, pour soy sauce into the mixture and stir well. Store your chili crisp in an airtight container.
