– 1 kg beef chuck

– 1 onion, diced
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 carrots, chopped
– 2 cups beef broth
– 1 cup red wine
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

1. Preheat a large pot over medium heat. Add vegetable oil and heat it up.
2. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, then remove it and set aside.
3. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and carrots. Cook until the onion softens.
4. Pour in the beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Stir to combine.
5. Return the beef to the pot, season with salt and pepper, cover, and simmer for 2-3 hours until tender.
