Spicy Tangy Yam Curry Recipe: Delicious Senai Kizhangu Ghostu

Ingredients
1 yam (about 500 g), peeled and diced
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon urad dal
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 cup tamarind water
1 cup water
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Method
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Incorporate urad dal, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Stir for about a minute.
Mix in the diced yam along with tamarind water and salt. Cook until soft, adding the water as needed.
Once cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
