Ingredients
1 whole turkey (about 4 kg)
250 ml chicken stock
100 g butter, softened
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 lemon, halved
1 onion, quartered
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Rub the softened butter all over the turkey.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme evenly onto the turkey.
Place the lemon and onion inside the turkey cavity.
Pour chicken stock into the roasting pan and roast the turkey for about 2 to 2.5 hours, basting occasionally.
