Ingredients

– 1 cup saffron-infused milk
– 1 cup ginger syrup
– 1 cup homemade orange marmalade
– 2 cups sponge cake or ladyfingers
– 1 cup whipped cream
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 4 cups fresh fruit (like oranges and berries)
– ¼ cup chopped nuts (like almonds or pistachios)
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 2 tbsp sugar

Method

1. Start by preparing the orange marmalade if it is not already made. You can cook orange slices with sugar and lemon juice until thick.
2. In a large bowl, mix the saffron-infused milk with ginger syrup, vanilla extract, and sugar. Stir until combined.
3. Layer the sponge cake or ladyfingers in a clear serving dish. Pour half of the saffron milk mixture over them.
4. Add a layer of orange marmalade and fresh fruit on top. Follow this with a layer of whipped cream.
5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients. Finish with chopped nuts on top for crunch.
