Ingredients
– 800 g canned whole tomatoes
– 60 ml olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– ¼ teaspoon pepper
– 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
– 60 ml water
Method
1. Pour olive oil into the pressure cooker.
2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until soft.
3. Stir in minced garlic, oregano, salt, sugar, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
4. Pour in canned tomatoes, breaking them up with a spoon. Add water and mix well.
5. Lock the lid on the pressure cooker and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Release the pressure and stir in fresh basil before serving.
