Pistachio Sheerkurma Recipe: A Delightful Festival Dessert

Ingredients

– 1 cup vermicelli
– 1/4 cup ghee
– 4 cups milk
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
– 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
– 1/4 cup raisins
– 1/4 cup dates, chopped
– 1/4 cup almond slivers
– 1/2 teaspoon saffron strands

Method

1. Heat ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add vermicelli, stirring continuously until golden brown.
2. Pour in the milk and allow it to boil. Adjust the heat to maintain a gentle simmer.
3. After about 10 minutes, add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron. Mix well until sugar dissolves.
4. Stir in pistachios, raisins, dates, and almond slivers. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes before serving warm.
