Ingredients

– 4 cups water
– 1 cup raw pistachios
– 1/4 cup rolled oats
– 2 tablespoons maple syrup
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Pinch of salt
– 2 cups brewed coffee
– 1/2 cup ice (optional)
– Cocoa powder (for garnish)
– Whipped cream (optional)

Method

1. Begin by soaking the pistachios in water for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse them when ready.
2. In a blender, combine the soaked pistachios, rolled oats, and 4 cups of water. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
3. Strain the blended mixture through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth into a bowl, discarding the leftover pulp.
4. Stir in maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the milk.
5. Pour the pistachio oat milk over brewed coffee. Add ice if desired, then top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
