Ingredients
– 240 ml water
– 150 g pistachios
– 4 cups milk
– 2 tablespoons maple syrup
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon instant coffee
– 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
– Pinch of salt
– Ice cubes (optional)
– Whipped cream (optional)
Method
1. Start by soaking the pistachios in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
2. Drain the nuts and place them in a blender with 240 ml of fresh water. Blend until smooth.
3. Strain the mixture using a fine cloth or sieve to separate the milk from the nut pulp.
4. Pour the pistachio milk into a pot. Heat it on medium-low and whisk in the maple syrup, vanilla, instant coffee, cocoa powder, and salt.
5. Serve warm or over ice. Top with whipped cream if desired.
