Ingredients
– 2.5 kg standing rib roast
– 2 teaspoons salt
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 teaspoons garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 30 ml olive oil
– 250 ml beef broth
– Optional: fresh herbs for garnish
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
2. Rub the roast with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and add beef broth around it.
4. Roast in the oven for about 1.5 hours or until it reaches your desired doneness.
5. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
