Ingredients
– 1.5 kg of beef brisket
– 2 cups of beef stock
– 1/2 cup of olive oil
– 1 large onion, sliced
– 4 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 bay leaves
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
2. In a large oven-safe dish, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced onion until softened.
3. While the onions cook, rub the brisket with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar.
4. Once the onions are soft, add garlic and cook for another minute, then place the brisket into the dish with the onions.
5. Pour in the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce. Add bay leaves and cover the dish with foil. Bake for about 3 to 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
