Ingredients
250 g plain flour
125 g unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
1 tsp salt
70 ml cold water
1 tsp sugar
Method
1. Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Mix until everything is well combined.
2. Add chilled butter cubes to the bowl. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
3. Gradually add cold water, a little at a time. Mix with a fork until the dough comes together.
4. Form the dough into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
5. Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your pie dish.
