Ingredients
– 1 kg pork belly, cut into cubes
– 1 cup vinegar
– 1 cup water
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 onion, chopped
– 5 cloves garlic, minced
– 2-3 pieces bay leaves
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Method
1. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until they are soft.
3. Add the pork belly pieces. Cook until they are browned on all sides.
4. Pour in the vinegar and wait until it boils. Do not stir immediately.
5. After boiling, add the water, soy sauce, bay leaves, black pepper, and sugar. Lower the heat and simmer for about 45 minutes.
