Ingredients
– 1 cup flour
– 1 cup quick oats
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup butter, softened
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup chocolate chips
– 1 egg
– 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking tray or line it with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the butter and brown sugar. Mix until creamy and smooth.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Stir well to incorporate these ingredients fully.
4. Mix in the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt until the dry ingredients are combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared tray. Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
