Homemade Roasted Red Peppers Recipe

Ingredients
4 large red bell peppers
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
2. Cut the red bell peppers in half and remove the seeds and stems.
3. Place the peppers cut side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and oregano on top.
4. Roast the peppers in the oven for about 25–30 minutes or until the skins are blistered and darkened.
5. Remove them from the oven, allow to cool for a few minutes, then peel off the skins. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, sugar, and lemon juice before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
