Kashmiri Gushtaba Recipe: Authentic Flavors Of Lamb Meatballs

Ingredients

– 500 g lamb or beef, minced
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
– 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 cup fresh cream
– 1/4 cup yogurt
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint

Method

1. In a bowl, combine minced meat with onion, ginger-garlic paste, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, and salt. Mix well using your hands.
2. Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball. Set them aside on a plate.
3. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning until they are browned on all sides.
4. Lower the heat and stir in fresh cream and yogurt. Cook gently for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
5. Garnish with fresh mint before serving. Enjoy your delicious Gushtaba with rice or naan.
