Ingredients
– 180 g plain flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1 tsp ground cardamom
– 200 ml milk
– 100 g sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 60 g unsalted butter, melted
– 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a cake tin and set it aside for later.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cardamom. Mix them well to combine.
3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the melted butter afterwards.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just blended.
5. Pour half the batter into the prepared tin. Spread the chopped apples on top and then pour the remaining batter over them. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center.
