Ingredients
– 1.5 kg pork shoulder
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp black pepper
– 1 tbsp garlic powder
– 1 tbsp onion powder
– 2 cups vegetable broth
– 1 cup apple juice
– Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
– 1 lemon, sliced
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels.
2. Rub olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder all over the pork.
3. Place the pork in a roasting pan. Pour vegetable broth and apple juice around the meat.
4. Add lemon slices and fresh herbs on top of the pork.
5. Roast for about 3 hours, or until the pork is tender. Rest the meat for 15 minutes before slicing.
