Ingredients
– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 cup of sugar
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup of milk
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1 cup of chocolate chips
– Icing sugar for dusting (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake pan or line it with baking paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add the softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture until smooth.
4. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before dusting with icing sugar if desired.
