Ingredients
– 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup of granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tablespoon of orange zest
– 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice
– 3 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– ½ teaspoon of salt
– 1 cup of powdered sugar (for glaze)
– 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice (for glaze)
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs, orange zest, and fresh orange juice. Mix until everything is well combined.
4. Gradually stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine until the dough forms a soft mixture.
5. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool before glazing.
