Indulge In Decadent Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée Recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 ml heavy cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 50 g sugar (for caramelizing)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C.
  2. Combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Heat it gently until it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks until they are creamy. Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the yolks while stirring.
  4. Pour the mixture into ramekins and place them in a baking dish. Fill the dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  5. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until set. After cooling, sprinkle sugar on top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize until golden.
