Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
3. Add softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Beat the mixture until smooth.
4. Stir in the chopped fruit and nuts if using. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
