Hyderabadi Khadi Masoor Dal: Delicious Lentil Curry Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup split red lentils
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1-2 green chilies, slit
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 1/2 cups water
Salt to taste

Method
Rinse the lentils in cold water and drain.
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Stir in ginger-garlic paste, chilies, tomatoes, and spices.
Pour in the lentils and water, then simmer until cooked.
