Ingredients

– 75 ml apple cider vinegar
– 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon ground mustard
– 100 ml water
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon cornstarch
– 60 ml honey
– 1 teaspoon turmeric
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Method

1. Begin by combining mustard seeds and vinegar in a small bowl. Let the mixture sit for 24 hours so the seeds can soak and soften.
2. After a day, pour the mustard seed and vinegar mix into a blender. Add water, sugar, salt, cornstarch, honey, turmeric, and garlic powder.
3. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Taste the mustard and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more sugar or salt if desired.
4. Transfer the blended mustard to a saucepan. Heat over medium heat while stirring gently until it thickens, which should take about 5 minutes.
5. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Let the mustard cool before transferring it to a jar for storage. It can be refrigerated for up to a month.
