Ingredients
1 cup raw almonds
4 cups water
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Soak the almonds in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Drain the almonds and rinse them under cold water.
Blend the soaked almonds with fresh water until they are finely ground, about 1-2 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or a clean kitchen towel into a bowl.
Stir in salt, sweetener, and vanilla extract to taste.
