Healthy Malai Kofta Recipe: Delicious And Guilt-Free Indian Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup grated paneer
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, paneer, all-purpose flour, garam masala, salt, and turmeric powder together until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls and set them aside on a plate.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the balls until they turn golden brown. Once done, place them on paper towels to soak up excess oil.
  4. For the sauce, heat spinach and mix in the tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the cream and stir well.
  5. Serve the koftas topped with the spinach-tomato sauce for a delicious meal.
