Ingredients
– 4 ribeye steaks (about 2 cm thick)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
– 1 tablespoon garlic powder
– 1 tablespoon onion powder
– 1 tablespoon ground cumin
– 1 tablespoon dried oregano
– 1 tablespoon chili powder
– Salt (to taste)
– Pepper (to taste)
Method
1. Start by mixing the spices. In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, chili powder, salt, and pepper. This will create your seasoning mix.
2. Prepare the steaks. Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and rub it in to coat them evenly.
3. Season the meat. Sprinkle the spice mix generously over both sides of each steak. Press it into the meat to ensure it sticks well.
4. Heat the grill. Preheat your grill to high heat. Once it’s hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
5. Let the steaks rest. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill. Allow them to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This helps keep the juices inside.
