Method
1. Start by mixing the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until combined. Some small lumps are okay.
4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add a little oil or butter.
5. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and brown the other side.
