Flavorful Slow Cooker Green Chile Pork Stew Recipe

Ingredients

– 800 g pork shoulder, cut into small pieces
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 500 ml chicken stock
– 400 g diced tomatoes
– 2 cans green chiles (about 220 g each)
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon pepper

Method

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes soft. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
3. Mix in the pork pieces and sprinkle with cumin, salt, and pepper. Brown the pork for a few minutes.
4. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker alongside the chicken stock, diced tomatoes, and green chiles.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
