Ingredients
– 1 cup semolina
– 1 cup sugar
– 2 cups water
– 2 tablespoons ghee
– 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
– 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews and almonds)
– 1/4 cup raisins
– A pinch of saffron (optional)
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– A pinch of salt
Method
1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add semolina and roast it until golden brown, stirring continuously.
2. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
3. Gradually pour the sugar-water mixture into the roasted semolina. Stir well to avoid lumps.
4. Reduce the heat. Add chopped nuts, raisins, saffron, and vanilla extract. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
5. Cook for about 5 more minutes or until the mixture thickens. Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
